The DMOZ Directory is also used by Google which downloads it and calls it (as you'd expect) the Google Directory so it is twice as important getting listed there because you will get three links from three highly respected sites: 1. DMOZ 2. Alexa Directory

If you want to be popular on the net, try to promote your site in the DMOZ Directory, Alexa directory and Google directory. Alexa shows data about your site.

If you want to be popular than promote your site to the Alexa directory or google directory.

Be careful when you download and install the Alexa toolbar. Sometimes there are so many useless things sit in the system. I can not use IEXPLORE cause of this problem and tried to remove the virus, but can not do it.

Personally, I would choose Alexa. I think they are both really nice names. You may want to consider the fact that Alexis was originally a boy's name, but it recently is being used on girls, and that Alexis is the more popular name. I think Alexa sounds more feminine and prettier, Alexis sounds unisex but of course you could nickname her Alexa and her real name could be Alexis.
