Hi,
Using frames on a homepage is not good for search engine optimization.
Try to avoid them whenever possible. When the search engine spiders the
page it has nowhere to go.
Search engines have trouble following frames, and they may only index the framed content page and not the navigation frame.

The reason this score is low is because people tend to not take the relveance serious enough.
So on average we gave it a 2.
People think because you have massive links then your popularity will go up when in fact you can be penalized for non relative content.

How do personal blogs at places like LiveJournal and Myspace and similar sites fair in the rankings? Is it better to have your own page or have a blog at one of these places?

THANKS A LOT.These are really great tips for SEO to get higher ranking. I also got some tips and tricks from a website which says about when to submit the website to google:- As soon as you register your domain name, submit it to Google! Even if you havent built your site, or written an copy, or even thought about your content, submit your domain name to Google. In fact, even if you havent fully articulated your business plan and marketing plan, submit your domain name to Google.Dont wait!
There are two reasons for this. Firstly, getting on the search engines has always taken a long time for a new site. Even assuming you do everything right, it takes months before your site is even indexed, and more months before it starts to rank well. As a rule of thumb, never expect to rank highly within 6 months of submitting your site to Google.
The second reason is a recent phenomenon called Google Sandbox. Many SEO experts believe that Google sandboxes new websites. Whenever it detects a new website, it withholds its rightful ranking for a period while it determines whether your site is a genuine, credible, long term site. It does this to discourage the creation of SPAM websites (sites which serve no useful purpose other than to boost the ranking of some other site).
By submitting your domain name to Google as soon as you register it, youre establishing a site history even if the site has no content. By the time youve built your site, written your copy, and developed the rest of your content (and written your business and marketing plans), Google will probably see no need to sandbox you.
If you wait until launch day to submit your site, youll spend a month or two (maybe more) sitting in the sandbox watching potential customers spend their money elsewhere.

For what reason someone said SEO is no longer that important?
For me, without SEO the SE will index my sites only just to have them listed and lost in the crowd because of low ranking.
I love to optimize my sites for SE ranking.

I just opened up a new classifieds Site
( http://www.overstockandstuff.net ) to generate traffic to my web
store. You can add anything you would like on this site. It is a great
way for everyone to get direct links to there sites. I need some people
to test the entire site. It is really nice so far i think. If you would
leave feedback on here that would be great.
Thank you so much

Webmaster,
I'm not entirely sure about what you say regarding Google taking months to put sites on their register as I registered my site on 12/07/07 and I am already on the list, in fact I was within 3 days.
I have however heard this said before so it must be true, any ideas why this may have occured.
Also, which is even more strange, my site is called ebookads, if I type this into Google my site come the first site listed ranking above ebookads.com which is a long established site with a high PR whilst my own PR isn't even know.
Strange but true.
http://ebookads.co.uk
Cheers.

If the site has been live for over 6 months then it won't be sandbagged and will show up as soon as Google starts indexing. If it's a new site, however, it could be awhile before Google does anything with it. It definately varies.

Excellent post.Infact you have hardly missed out on anything other than stating that prior to all these you need to check for broken links and get your confirmed HTML certificate so that it is regularly indexed by the Search Engine spiders. Any thanks for sharing the tips.Very informative.

Hi there,
This is quite a formula , but a similar kind of formula is employed
bythe search engines like google . One of the things that google has
done is they have created a scoring system they call pagerank that
generally summarizes a particular web sites accumulated score of the
quantity and quality of inbound links. This scoring is done on
approximately a logarithmic scale, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being
the highest. Because it is logarithmic, a 2 is significantly better
ranked than a 1, and a 3 is significantly better ranked than a 2, and
so on.
